Once you have been without chains in a snow storm (Lake Tahoe, CA in January) you swear it will never happen again. I bought 2 pairs (front AND back tires) for my Jeep Liberty. Maybe alittle overkill, but pushing your rental car uphill for 1 mile until a nice driver gives you a pull will scar you for life. These are easier to put on than other cheaper and thinner chains. Once you practice in a dry setting once, you get the set up easily. Comes in a nice case. Used it once already and was totally satisfied. Worth every penny for the ease of mind.

The only reason I hesitated to give these chains a perfect rating is that I haven't actually used them yet. I have used similar chains, and the diamond pattern grips more evenly, rides more smoothly and is easier on the vehicle than straight cross links. This brand interested me because of the fastening system which should take up some of the slack, and because it is made in Italy. If a person follows the directions, installation can be accomplished quite quickly and easily without reaching behind the tire to fasten anything. I tried them on in good weather to make sure they fit and to avoid spending time figuring them out in the cold and/or dark. The latching mechanisms seem to be good quality and well thought out. There is nothing included to protect wheels from scratches, but so far it doesn't look like any wheel contact will be made on 215/65R16. The included storage container is compact and convenient. Delivery was prompt although ordered within two weeks of Christmas.

I've had other quick install chains before, but these are by far the best quality and easiest set that i've had to put on before. They fit true to size for my 16-inch tires on my Toyota Camry. These appear to self center well, and tighten up even more as you drive with them on.
The first time i put them on, I got out of my car a half-mile down the road to check on the fit. They had snugged up even tighter and I was good to go. They have a quick-release mechanism that quickly gets them off the wheel.
Freak rare snowstorm in Seattle, and everyone is instantly sold out of chains locally. Thank goodness for Amazon and Prime account to get me a set overnight!

The fit of these was very tight. The tires needed to be warmed up first and even then, the plastic tabs that stop the chains from touching the tires come off very easy. These where very expensive compared to other chains. I don't think I would buy them again. I would go with cheap pair or pairs and still pay less than half of what I did for these. I will say that once on, they work well.

I don't have any complaints about these chains, and I am one to easily complaint about product flaws. Very easy to install, although the first part of the rachet-system takes a second to comprehend. They seem to fit my tires very very well (185/65-14), snugger than other chains I've tried. These are super compact--about the size of three dinner plantes stacked together. Italian made, so Chinese-made product quality isn't an issue. These also meet "S" low-profile standards; I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX. Very happy.
